University of Arkansas Community College at Hope-Texarkana The Secondary Career Center provides area high school juniors and seniors with the unique opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school at no charge. Enrollment –1,531 Programs Available—15 In-state Tuition per Year—$3,250 Out-of-state Tuition per Year—$4,300 Many privately funded scholarships available

Texarkana’s commitment to offering its residents quality educational options,does not stop at the high school level. It extends to our city’s colleges and universities as well. Associates through doctorate level degrees are all available right here at home, through Texarkana College, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Texas A&M University-Texarkana, and University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana. Students do not have to go anywhere to receive the education and training they need to broaden their horizons and extend their opportunities. The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana envisions itself as a twenty-first-century model community college. To make their vision a reality, UAHT reaches beyond traditional boundaries so students can overcome obstacles, achieve dreams and reach their full potential. Their goal is to empower a network of diverse and committed individuals to work creatively and collaboratively toward shared principles and the common goals. They endeavor to create learning environments that are nurturing, accepting, personalized and student focused. Their vow to the community is to try to always be attentive to their mission, cohesive in their approach and responsive to changing needs. University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences In 1993, the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences established a Family Medicine Residency Program in Texarkana. This UAMS Regional Campus accepts eight new residents into its three-year program each summer. Residents are recent medical school graduates from UAMS College of Medicine and other accredited medical schools, who wish to become board certified in family medicine from the American Academy of Family Practice. As part of their residency training, UAMS Family Medicine Residents see patients in the UAMS Family Medical Center—Texarkana. This clinic also serves as a clinical site for UAMS students enrolled in the UAMS College of Medicine, UAMS College of Public Health, UAMS College of Pharmacy, and UAMS College of Nursing.
