Next Step Guided Reading Assessment: Decide and Guide
Research shows that small-group instruction must be based on students’ needs and shared with constantly evolving differentiated groups. This session focuses on analyzing data gathered from the Next Step Guided Reading Assessment to inform instruction for whole-group, small-group, and independent readers. We recommend that this session occurs after teachers have administered the Next Step Guided Reading Assessment. Learning outcomes: • Use NSGRA resources to analyze the assessments • Use NSGRA resources to plan instruction based on the data • Use the Reading Interest Survey and Whole-Group Comprehension Assessment to decide on whole-group, small-group, and independent instructional goals
