Learning Supports

Improving Student Achievement through Social-Emotional Foundations: Designing Supports to Address Mental Health, Trauma, and Student Motivation Schools across the country need specialized learning supports for issues such as chronic stress, anxiety, and trauma. The following sessions (which can be implemented as a series or individually) help school leaders, support staff, and teachers identify and address these challenges so that all students can thrive both in and out of the classroom.

Session 1: A Comprehensive Design for Learning Supports: A Leaders Guide In a recent survey, principals identified mental health issues as one of the greatest barriers to student achievement. This session will help you design a schoolwide approach that organizes, aligns, and integrates social-emotional supports to prevent disruptions to learning and address the needs of your most vulnerable students.
