Domtar Celebrates One Year With Paper Excellence, Resolute Fort Mill, South Carolina based Domtar celebrates one year since joining forces with Paper Excellence and Res- olute Forest Products in October 2024 under the Domtar name. It’s been an exciting and eventful first year as a uni- fied company, and the last 12 months have been defined by Domtar highlights — moments that highlight our com- mitment to our values — caring, collaboration, accountabil- ity and entrepreneurship. In honor of the one-year mark, Domtar shared some notable highlights from its first year as a unified forest products company: Caring In the week preceding Earth Day, Domtar announced

its community investment framework, Domtar Connects. Through corporate partnerships, local funding and hands- on volunteer work from employees, Domtar supports the communities where its teams live and work. One of Domtar Connects’ largest projects is $2K Your

Way. This program gives employees a chance to donate $2,000 grants to an organization of their choosing. Over the last year, Domtar awarded more than 100 grants to support a wide range of causes, from early childhood education in Quebec to homeless shelters in This year, Domtar proudly unveiled its new Sustainability Strategy, built through the collaborative work of internal and external partners. The Sustainability Strategy is found- ed upon three main pillars: Environmental Stewardship, Our People and Communities, and Responsible Business. The new strate- gy outlines 12 objectives for 2026 and 2030, from positively impacting forest biodiversity and reducing water utilization to driving sus- tainability through product and process inno- vation and building partnerships with Indige- nous communities and businesses. Another highlight was being named a Sustainable Development Goal leader. This recognition led to Domtar being featured in a short documentary film produced by Acumen Media. Additionally, Domtar was recognized among the Private 25 Most Sustainable Cor- porations in the World by Corporate Knights, a leading sustainable economy media and research organization. South Carolina. Collaboration Domtar also donated sustainably harvest- ed lumber building materials for the con- struction of the TERRE Center in Jonquiere, Quebec. The TERRE Center, once complet- ed, will be a sustainably constructed renew- able energy research center in the heart of the Saguenay-Lac St. Jean region of Quebec.
