signed a historic land agreement. Through the agreement, the Tla’amin Nation reacquired a substantial portion of land at the former tiskwat paper mill site in Powell River, British Columbia. The tiskwat land was a large and im- portant village site that holds great significance for the Most recently, Domtar’s Kingsport Mill received the Fred Schmitt Award for Outstanding Corporate Leader- ship from the National Recycling Coalition. This national recognition celebrates the mill’s commitment to making containerboard from 100-percent recycled paper and old corrugated containers. Domtar was also recognized as an industry leader in energy recovery through our Clermont Mill’s partnership with Hydro-Quebec. This partnership resulted in a 15 mil- lion kWh reduction in energy use at the mill. Tla’amin people. Entrepreneurship In the Wood Products business unit, progress was made in applying artificial intelligence modeling to im- prove product consistency and quality. In the U.S., Domtar launched Clarion, the first phe- nol-free certified-recyclable thermal receipt paper has the same great performance as other point-of-sale thermal pa- pers without using chemical compounds such as BPA and BPS.
