MPS Declares Bankruptcy (CONT’D FROM PAGE 41)

As a result of the bankruptcies, the trustee is now re- sponsible for safeguarding the company’s assets, assess- ing the financial situation, and exploring possibilities for a going-concern sale of the assets to preserve the brand, technology, and availability of spare parts for existing cus- tomers. Currently, all operational activities – including produc- tion, deliveries, and services – are temporarily suspend- ed, with the curator investigating whether certain activities can be continued or transferred to a third party. Existing sales agency or distributorship agreements have also been suspended, unless specifically confirmed by the trustee. MPS is distributed in A/NZ by Nekkorb Solutions. Filing A Claim The company has issued a statement on its website, saying deposits paid before the bankruptcy will not be re- funded, and that those that have paid a deposit before the bankruptcy can file a claim as an unsecured creditor in the insolvency. It also confirmed that orders for spare parts, tooling, or consumables can still be placed, and that the techni- cal remote support hotline remains operational. The MPS Connect portal is also operational and data is refreshed as per usual. Field service engineers are available for maintenance but confirmation of the work can only be given after the approval of the trustee. For machine failures, MPS said, “Please feed your questions through the regular channels and the MPS team will look at the possibilities”. The statement also mentioned the trustee is in dis- cussions with several interested parties, adding that “The trustee aims for a going concern sale of all MPS activities and assets to another party, after which the company will most likely be liquidated at the end of the bankruptcy proceedings”. Capitolia Installs Hontec Flexo Press Capitolia, a label printer based in Argentina, has installed Hontec 8-color FlexiCon350 flexographic press equipped with a gravure unit. This new line is designed to print thermal transfer labels with high precision and versatility, combining the strong color performance of flexography with the high ink density and coverage of gravure. The hybrid configuration allows Capitolia to handle a wider range of label materials and achieve richer image quality for demanding applications, according to the company. The installation was carried out independently by Cap- itolia’s in-house engineering team.
