Good Morning
Welcome to the IITD National Learning & Development Conference 2022. Our theme this year is Reimagining Learning in the New World of Work; CURIOSITY, CHAOS & CONNECTION. Through this lens, we’ll consider how we, as Learning & Development professionals, should innovate, lead and transform ourselves in the changing learning landscape as we move from an old to a new paradigm. The current environment presents a unique opportunity for Learning & Development professionals to play a leadership role by spearheading their organisations’ strategic response to the changing future of work. A key challenge for Learning & Development leaders in this regard is managing the tension between meeting current skills requirements and enabling the workforce of the future.
Throughout the day, we will be discussing how organisations can future proof their L&D programmes through taking a skills-based approach to work and work design.
We will also consider the centrality of the learning and development agenda to investor analysis and the extent to which investors assess the strength of an organisation’s leadership team and their ability to deliver. To be effective in the new context in which we are all operating, the thinking of today’s leaders must be equal or superior to the complexity of the environment and development must be continuous. We will share a different model of leadership and a framework of leadership development fit for the future of work context. With the world changing faster than ever, we will share how organisations can build a culture of curiosity and align it with individuals taking responsibility for their own learning. Finally, we will discuss how organisations can address the talent gap through changing mindsets and embracing best practice in employing and supporting people with disabilities.
