KEYNOTE - So much potential!
2:30PM
According to the World Health Organisation, fifteen percent of the world’s population have a disability. That’s a billion people. Organisations often miss out on so much talent by mistaken assumptions and/or unconscious discomfort when engaging with people with disabilities. Talented people are often overlooked, not just by physical barriers but also attitudinal barriers. Changing mindsets could mean a lot of job vacancies filled. Research shows that organizations that embrace best practice in employing and supporting people with disabilities, outperform their peers. In these days of almost full employment, enlightened organisations are already recognising and tapping into this talent.
