Brian Murphy Senior Director, Employee Skilling, Microsoft

Brian joined Microsoft in March 2022 where he leads global internal efforts to re-imagine career development through the power of skills and a pervasive learning culture. Career and skills development will be critical in helping Microsoft deliver on its mission to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Previously, Brian was the Global Head of Learning & Enterprise Capabilities at AstraZeneca from 2019 to 2022. He led a CEO- sponsored Learning Transformation programme, built a new Enterprise Learning team, and led the implementation of a new approach to Performance Development. This coincided with a key moment in the company’s history as it sought to provide a global vaccine for COVID19. Brian Started his career at the global Bank, Citi, where he held a number of regional and global HR Director roles. From 2014 to 2019 he was the Head of Learning and Leadership Development for Citi in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Brid Horan Chancellor DCU and Non-Executive Director

Brid is an independent Non-Executive Director experienced in executive roles and on public and private boards. Currently Chair of Nephin Energy, Director of PM Group, Chancellor of Dublin City University and Governing Authority Chair and Chair of the Irish Cancer Society. Brid was ESB Deputy Chief Executive until 2014, has served on the boards of IDA Ireland, FBD Holdings plc and National Pensions Reserve Fund and as inaugural Co-Chair of Balance for Better Business. She is an Actuary, Chartered Director and Fellow IOD.

Claire Doody Founder of Work In Motion

Claire is founder of Work in Motion, a consultancy that helps organisations to make work better through thought partnership, collaborative learning experiences and consulting. Prior to this, she led the global “How We Work” initiative at Twitter, set up Uversity, a creative education initiative, and has held senior L&D roles in technology, consulting and academia. She has a BA in Business and Politics from Trinity College Dublin, a Postgraduate Certificate in Coaching Practice from Oxford Brookes University, a Future of Work qualification from London Business School and an Integral Facilitator qualification from Ten Directions.
