By David MacDonald I f you’ve ever had the opportunity to take the tour of the Supreme Court of Canada in Ottawa, you were likely spell- bound walking into the building by the step-side sentinels Justicia (Justice) and Veritas (Truth). Both are world-famous statues by the Canadian monumental sculptor Walter Seymour Allward and the story of how they found a home facing Victoria Street is one worth telling, but it’s one that space doesn’t afford me right now.
Besides, their frame of reference today isn’t one that looks back – well, very far anyway.
