NETWORK UPDATE
The school places great importance in working towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). It has been a signatory to the UN Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) since 2008 and a PRME champion since 2013. In addition to its support of the SDGs and PRME, La Trobe Business School has identified three principal pillars of focus in its strategic plan for 2023-25: future-focused teaching and learning; research with social impact; and deep engagement with partners and communities. Its sprawling Bundoora base is also part of a project to create a world-class ‘university city of the future’, with an infrastructure that turns the campus ‘inside out’ to provide the local community with a place to live, learn, work, socialise and stay healthy. Headline targets of the project include the creation of 20,000 new jobs and AUD$3.5 billion in gross regional product over the next 10 years, alongside the provision of additional housing for 12,000 students, staff and private residents.
