Sea Turtle Conservancy Experience Meet with researchers on a visit to the Sea Turtle Conservancy, co-founded by Archie Carr, a National Geographic grantee. Learn about the four species of sea turtles found in Tortuguero and the threats they face. Make Tortillas In A Family Home Learn the art of tortilla-making from Doña Mara in her home. Grind the corn, mix the dough and bake it in a wood-burning stove. When the tortillas are ready, sit down to a tasty casado (traditional Costa Rican dish) prepared with the tortillas you’ve made.
