U.CAKE, Unequivocal Culinary Quality by Peri Hayes When Mykola and Iryna Bilovol moved from Ukraine to Canada in 2022, they decided to bring their business idea and inspiration -- to pay homage to their heritage -- with them. Opening U.CAKE in Strathroy in January of 2023, Mykola and Iryna are delighted to have established their second location at 211 Main Street, Port Stanley, as of May 4th. Mykola conveys, “We were in Port Stanley a lot. We are addicted to this place. Our kids love this place. We decided to expand the business. We came on Family Day, walking through the streets and visiting the beach, when we thought, ‘Why don’t we open the addition in Port Stanley? That will be really nice for our business.’ We really like to be here as much as we can.” Mykola shares that this venture has been a beautiful learning curve for him and Iryna, while supporting one another and being adaptive throughout the process. He expresses his appreciation for his partner and the ways in which her culinary skills have evolved. Mykola reveals, “Our bakery specializes in creating macarons — boasting over 40 different flavours as well as cakes, edible floral marshmallows, freshly ground coffee and much more. Each of our products is truly one-of-a-kind. We are thrilled that our customers are open to discovering new, high-quality offerings and that our clientele continues to grow every day.” Customers are welcome to explore U.CAKE’s unique, cubic macaron cakes and spectacular bouquets of edible tulips -- consistently an exclusive creation.
