We are looking for bright, talented graduates of any discipline who are looking for a firm offering a broad-based training contract. Applicants should have at least three A-level passes at grades A and B and a 2.1 degree. Training programme Orrick is a firm for those looking for a high level of responsibility from day one. We value team players and aim to give individuals the opportunity to flourish in an inclusive and supportive work environment, encouraging interaction across our international offices. We support learning through a focus on training and a mentoring programme that will provide trainees with the right foundation for building their legal career. A genuine open door policy means trainees work closely with partners and associates. Our two-year training programme is made up of four six-month seats with regular appraisals throughout. Our dedicated trainee partner oversees the supervision of our trainees. There is an extensive training programme with regular and focused sessions on legal and soft skills to enhance your development as a lawyer. When and how to apply Our training contract and open day applications will open from 1 October 2019, and you can apply online via our website. Our training contract applications will close on 29 May 2020. We will be holding open days in the spring of 2019. Applications for these will close on 31 January 2020. Work placements Our open days in the spring of 2020 provide a good opportunity to see the London office of a US law firm in action. Applicants spend the day learning more about the firm and the work on offer in the London office as well as participating in a business game designed to give a flavour of the work of a City lawyer. Sponsorship We will provide sponsorship for your GDL and LPC, and also an £8,000 maintenance grant for the GDL and £9,500 for the LPC.
