urgent Unlimited opportunities in India and West Pakistan tor women doctors, nurses, technicians and evangelists to reach the neglected women of the Orient. Unless Woman Doctors are added to Staff of some hospitals our ministry must be greatly curtailed. Young Christian women are alsourgentlyneeded fororphan age, rescue home and Bible training school in India, and high school and Bible training school in Japan.

Continued from p. 45 ual training. This can cause a young person to have little appreciation for God, His Word, and the church. It may even develop a double standard: one for home and another for church. Physical impairment is another problem young people can face. This can cause them to feel insecure and to conclude that God is not fair. They also may suffer from “ smother love.” Teachers who want to be ef fective must be aware of these and other problems of their pupils. Q. How can we solve the critical I leadership problem in the church? / A. Truly this is a critical problem J because the quality and adequacy of leadership determine, more than any other human factors, the success of the church. We must approach this problem in the scriptural per spective that God has granted gifts to every individual in His body and that the primary task of a pastor, for instance, is to equip the saints for the work of the ministry (Ephe sians 4:12). The church must not only invite people to serve, but it must also instruct them in how to perform the service. Many people are not serving simply because they do not know how. In our church, we conduct a personal interview with every new member who enters the church to discuss a potential area of service for him. Let people know that the church expects them to serve and that it is vital to their own spiritual growth. TEACHING TIP A classroom without a chalkboard is like a kitchen without a stove. Bruce Howat says, “ A teacher who fails to use the chalkboard is not ‘cooking with gas’ in his teaching.” A chalkboard, or to some a black board, is still one of the most effec tive teaching tools any teacher has available. Through a chalkboard one gains all the added impact offered by any visual aid. Make your ch a lk b oa rd “ come- alive” as you teach the Word of God. Here are a dozen ways to use a chalk board : 1. H ighlight the M emory V erse . Print or write the verse in the corner of the board. Keep it there before the class through out the entire lesson. 2. O utline the L esson . Before class time, print or write the outline of the lesson on the board. It will show exactly what
