According to Merriam-Webster, cellulite is defined as “deposits of subcutaneous fat within fibrous connective tissue (as in thighs, hips, and buttocks) that give a puckered and dimpled appearance to the skin surface.” While we may not all know the exact definition of cellulite, we have all seen it and/or have it. According to statistics, 80% to 90% of women report having cellulite . In 2006 a Harris Poll revealed that these numbers stretch across women of various ages and ethnicities. And of these women polled, 60% felt cellulite was their fault, and 57% felt they were judged for having cellulite. For many, the predominance of cellulite isn’t just physical, it affects them mentally as well. For many, it greatly affects their quality of life.
