IN THIS FAST PACED WORLD, WE ALL WANT PERFECTION AND WE EXPECT IT NOW. This even follows us into the world of beauty. I find myself having this conversation several times during my day. My patients have read it or seen it done in a magazine. Don’t get me wrong, I am a witness to amazing technology everyday. However, we have to remember it takes more than a series of procedures or laser treatments to attain our anti-aging skin goals. We have to take some responsibility to fully achieve and maintain our best results. We can help you achieve amazing results, with safe treatments, but you have to commit to follow- through at home. Believe it or not, skin care is very important and in most cases your best results will be seen if you are willing to hold up your end of the commitment. I'm not expecting all of my patients to be happy using 10 products in the morning and 8 at night (that would be ridiculous). However, I am encouraging you to remove dead surface cells (stimulating collagen production), protect your skin from free radical damage, give your skin the hydration it deserves, and shield your skin from damaging UVA/UVB rays. This is basic for most clients and can be achieved with just a few products. For my clients with special skin care needs, usually we just add an additional treatment product to the basics. Yes, this is necessary, as how can I help my patients struggling with acne, dry skin, oily skin, hyper-pigmentation or melasma if they take no responsibility at home? I understand how frustrating these skin care concerns are, because truly there is no magic wand. However, with the right tools we can help you put your best face forward. You’ve probably been told "use this product and everything will be better in a few days" hundreds of times, or more, throughout your adult life.
