ACCREDITATION UPDATE
Director dialogue
FACTS & FIGURES Iteso belongs to an association of Jesuit universities that number more than 180
What has AMBA accreditation and membership of the AMBA network meant for your school since your accreditation was first announced? “The accreditation offers our students and graduates a competitive advantage because we are now a programme recognised by AMBA for its international academic rigour and distinctiveness. In addition, being part of the AMBA network that is made up of more than 60,000 students, graduates and specialised academics from the world’s best MBA programmes can enrich the development of our students and alumni through lifelong learning projects, membership resources and the cultivation of new high-quality professional relationships. “It is no longer just students who judge the quality of an MBA programme and institution. Together with our AMBA peers, we must also now continue developing our collective humility to serve society better and enable businesses and organisations to flourish with our graduates.” How would you describe your business school’s unique selling point to other members of the AMBA network? “The Iteso MBA offers its students and graduates the inherently humanist approach and commitment to society that distinguishes universities entrusted to the Society of Jesus [a religious order whose members are known as the Jesuits]. “The Iteso MBA also links networks that transcend borders thanks to the university’s participation in the International Association of Jesuit Business Schools that brings together more than 180 Jesuit universities from the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa. The association seeks to promote a new business education paradigm that contributes to a fairer, more inclusive economy with a gender perspective.”
