SECTION 114 - DAHLIAS The America Dahlia Society recognizes 15 dahlia color categories, encompassing solid colors, blends, raviegated patterns and bi-color, excluding blue and the more brilliant tones or green. Solid Colors: White, yellow, orange, pink, dark pink, red, dark red, lavender, and purple. Blends: Light Blend: a clending of lighter tints and tones of pink, yellow, lavender and other pastels. Dark Blend: blends dominated by dark reds, pinks, purples, oranges, lavender, and bronze. Flame: blends of red or orange hue that merge with yellow. Other Categories: Variegated: two or more colors appearing on the face of the bloom in dots; splashes, or stripes. Bi-Color: blooms with two distinctly clear and sharply separated colors.
