What has AMBA accreditation and membership of the AMBA network meant for your school since your accreditation was first announced? “AMBA accreditation is a great milestone for our MBA programme. It is the culmination of all the hard work we’ve put in to deliver a top-quality curriculum and unique learning experience for our MBA students. We are very proud that we are now joining the AMBA family alongside top universities from around the world and we are looking forward to interacting and exploring collaborations with our fellow AMBA-accredited schools.” How would you describe your business school’s unique selling point to other members of the AMBA network? “Chulalongkorn is the oldest university in Thailand and has a long history of producing generations of leaders in the business world. Our school offers not only top-quality business education but also life-changing opportunities through learning initiatives, such as the Chulalongkorn Business Enterprise, where students can gain hands-on experience in real business environments. “Our graduates join a vast network of industry-leading alumni who all share a belief in advancing industry and society through entrepreneurial spirit, constant innovation and upholding the highest standards of business ethics.”
students. Today, this number has grown to more than 40,000, of which a little under 9,000 are master’s degree students. Chulalongkorn Business School has around 4,500 students of which roughly 1,600 study at postgraduate level. Since its establishment, the business school is estimated to have helped develop more than 30,000 students to become executives, entrepreneurs and leaders in public and private organisations. The English-language MBA at Chulalongkorn Business School is currently advertised at a total cost of THB 498,500 (c $14,000) over its two years; while the full-time Thai-language MBA programme’s price of THB 113,500 (c $3,250). Chulalongkorn Business School also carries its own interior fragrance – the Scent of the Chamchuri is said to represent the university’s sustainability and symbolise the high standards of its business school. The fragrance’s inclusion of vetiver, for example, embodies patience and unity, while cardamom signifies the school’s reputation.
