Provides student veterans, service members, and their families with a comprehensive overview of initiating and utilizing VA Education Benefits at CWU. Attendees will gain valuable insights into the on-boarding process for military-connected students and have the opportunity to ask questions, ensuring a smooth and informed transition to CWU. Drop-in the Veterans Center (Bouillon 214) from 3:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. for additional questions. 12:00 P.M. - 1:00 P.M. | CAMPUS TOURS SURC East Patio Enjoy a 30-minute campus tour led by our knowledgeable Student Ambassadors. Walk our historic campus and learn facts about CWU. Tours will begin at the Wildcat statue. *Tours start at 12:00 P.M.,and 12:45 P.M. 1:30 P.M. - 2:15 P.M. | A DAY IN THE LIFE: THE COLLEGE STUDENT EXPERIENCE SURC Ballroom (Parents and Support Networks Only) We’ll cover the snooze button, a day at CWU, homesickness, release of information, and where to turn when it gets tough. 1:30 P.M.- 2:30 P.M. | ORIENTATION LEADER (OL) CHATS SURC East Patio & SURC West Patio (Students Only) Connect with your Orientation Leader as they help you navigate your transition to CWU by sharing their CWU experience and tips to succeed as a Wildcat. *Groups 1 – 9: Meet on the SURC East Patio *Groups 10 – 18: Meet on the SURC West Patio 1:30 P.M. - 3:30 P.M. | TODOS SOMOS FAMILIA (SESIÓN EN ESPAÑOL) SURC 202 (Solo para Padres y Redes de Apoyo) CWU tiene varios recursos para apoyar al estudiante dentro y fuera de la clase. Learn how to support the “whole” student and get answers to some of the most frequently asked questions. Get an overview of key campus departments and meet representatives who can be a resource throughout the year. 2:30 P.M. - 4:15 P.M. | CLASS REGISTRATION Samuelson Building (Students Only) Don’t worry—this isn’t something you have to figure out alone. We’re here to help every step of the way. By the end of Orientation, you’ll have a schedule and a strong start to your college journey! 3:00 P.M. - 4:30 P.M. | ICE CREAM SOCIAL SURC Pit End your day with Ellensburg’s famous ice cream from Winegar’s and connect with representatives from our Student Engagement areas.
