Its gorges are among the world’s deepest, while its whitewa- ter rafting sections offer category III to IV rapids (on a scale of I to VI), mean- ing that they’re sufficiently exciting for both novices and more experienced rafters. The most popular route extends from Brštanovica to Šćepan Polje, pro- viding 18 kilometres of pure pleasure, with breaks to bathe and take photos. The Drina is tamer, but just as ex- citing. Its rapids are mostly classified in categories II and III, making this riv- er ideal for more relaxed rafting, social- ising and enjoying the scenery. The sec- tions around Bajina Bašta and Perućac are particularly beautiful. It is here that the river widens and becomes more tranquil, while still retaining its power. The Ibar is there for those seeking something slightly different. This riv- er is known for competitive rafting and adrenaline-spiking sections near Kralje- vo.
