Parade Chairman JAIME FLORES
Howdy Santa Maria Valley,
Last year we celebrated the 81 Annual Rodeo Parade and it did not disappoint. There were over 100 entries from all over the region and thousands of parade fans lined the streets from Mill Street to Enos Drive. Entries and participation were at capacity as was the prior year's event and we are expecting the same this year. As we prepare for our 82 Anniversary, the Parade Committee has continued to recruit and add new volunteers. We have been fundraising, seeking sponsorship since February and the parade will return to local TV with our partners at KSBY. For all the support I'd like to thank the volunteers, of course all our attendees and their families as the parade is not possible without you, Santa Maria Elks Lodge 1538, our Parade Committee, and a huge thank you to all our sponsors and the Chairmen before me. These individuals have laid the foundation for me and Parade Chairmen of the future to ensure this long-standing tradition continues to support and give back to the community that has embraced it for the last 81 years. I am looking forward to what the future holds for the parade and continuing to celebrate this long-time tradition for our community. st nd
