A local Embrun boy is set to drop the puck at the upcoming Ottawa Senators game. Campbell Labonte, a nine-year-old boy fromEmbrun suffering fromcerebral palsy, will be dropping the puck at the upcoming Ottawa Senators game on Friday, March 9 at the Canadian Tire Centre. Campbell will be representing Roger Neilson House, a palliative care home for children living with life-limiting illnesses, as he drops the ceremonial puck that will kick off the Ottawa Senators Foundation Telethon. The Telethonwill begin at 6:30 p.m., prior to the Senators game. TSNhas paired upwith the Ottawa Senators Foundation in order to relay stories about local children and to encourage donations to different organisa- tions and support programs. These include Roger Neilson House, The Organ Project, Project Step and SENS Camperships. Every year, Roger Neilson House selects a family to represent them at the Senators Telethon. “It was a real honor that they identi- fied Campbell to represent this important place on such a special night,” said Joanna Labonte, Campbell’s mother. Campbell is deaf and blind as a result of his cerebral palsy. He has lived in Embrun his entire life and enjoys the local library, going for nature strolls in his wheelchair and riding around in his personalized side car of The Township of Russell is seeking to fill one (1) position from members of the public on the TOWNSHIP OF RUSSELL PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD .
