St., Los Angeles 13, Calif. Paper. Price 10 cents. What Men Must Believe By David L. Cooper In his Introduction, Dr. Cooper says of this book: “I make no claim to its being a systematic theology. On the contrary, it presents those vital doc trines and facts which must be under stood in order to have a comprehen sive view of the truth as presented in the Scriptures.” However, let no one think that the t? work is not systematic, for the book itself, and each chapter in particular, is carefully outlined and excellently developed. The work supplies warmth and fervor which are often misri::g from books in this field of study. There are fifteen chapters. T'__e author -begins, where all theology must begin, with the existence, the revelation, and the nature o f. God. These studies are followed by other cardinal doctrines of the Word. The greatest merit of the book lies in the fact that it is so written that the begipner in the study of theology as well as the advanced student will find here much of real help, for one’s own spiritual life as well as in the preparation of material to be given to others. 499 pages: Biblical Research So ciety, Los Angeles 31, Calif. Cloth. Price $2.50.

Heavenly Destiny By Emma Moody Powell

Much has been spoken and written about America’s great evangelist, D. ;L. Moody. Until now, all too little has been known of the one who was his helpmeet and who shared with him the great ministry that God gave. The able author of this book is a grand d a u g h t e r of the Moodys, and* she writes with charm and clarity. At her disposal was a wealth of hitherto un published material: letters, family rec ords, the testimonies of i n t i m a t e friends. 343 pages. Moody Press, Chi cago 10, 111. Cloth. Price $2.00. Here is a book of daily devotional readings as Scriptural, as interesting, as human in their appeal to the heart as are the weekly radio broadcasts that have given Charles E. Fuller the earned reputation of being this coun try’s foremost gospel broadcaster. The selections also give an insight into the extent of this Christ-honoring ra dio ministry. The book is to be com Manna in the Morning By Charles E. Fuller and J . Elwin W right
