Dear Levine Families and Dallas Jewish Community,
Greetings to all and thank you for celebrating with us!
We are so excited to bring to you this year’s very special Gala—honoring two outstanding educational leaders who have had a lasting impact on Solomon Schechter Academy of Dallas and Ann & Nate Levine Academy: Emily Kern and Lois Davidson.
This year we are bringing you our Annual Gala in a unique and creative way, allowing us to welcome a larger Levine Community to celebrate and support our Mission.
We have come a long way as a school during this pandemic, because of the tireless efforts of our teachers and administrators. All year we have delivered educational excellence and Jewish commitment—with continuity both in-person and virtual instruction. Sadly the last time we were able to gather as a community was last year at our Annual Gala at Congregation Shearith Israel. Since that Gala in March of 2020, our school has been forging ahead, without looking back, thanks to your ongoing and substantial support. At Ann & Nate Levine Academy, we have many reasons to shout our successes throughout the greater Jewish community of Dallas. We continue to deliver best-in-class academic curricula; inspiring Jewish programming; new emphasis on STEM and robotics; growing service and leadership learning; an abundance of creativity; extra-curricular and summertime programs that hone talents and strengthen confidence. All of which has been further confirmed with the outstanding high school placements of our current 8 th grade class. Looking ahead, Levine has entered the final stages of the accreditation process; we foresee completing this process in a year from now, which will elevate Levine’s place among the best private schools as we anticipate official inclusion within the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest. Here’s a big shout-out to some awesome parents and staff who helped make this Gala possible: Julie Wilkofsky, Development Chair; Mahra Pailet, Gala Chair; Susan & Steven Wilkofsky, Honorary Chairs; Linda Garner, Sponsorship Chair; Shana Staub, Auction Chair; Julia Gittlitz & Tara Karp, Tribute Journal Chairs. None of this would be possible without the dedication of our Director of Development, Yael Twito, and Development Assistant, Kelly Swofford, for their ongoing leadership and management of the overall Gala event and experience. Deserving a huge show of appreciation: we thank our faculty, our administrative team, and our Board of Trustees. This year, more than ever, you have worked so hard to assure that success shines upon all facets of the experience at Ann & Nate Levine Academy for all our students. Finally, we thank all of you, our parents and community friends—for participating in this important financial event for our school. We appreciate your commitment to Levine. Enjoy the virtual experience and have fun. Bid on the amazing auction items and don’t miss the opportunity to participate in the paddle call--all with Levine Academy on your mind!
Sincerely,
Tom Elieff, Head of School Sandy Haymann Marks, President of the Board of Trustees
