THE QUEEN’S AWARDS FOR ENTERPRISE: INTERNATIONAL TRADE 2020
TRADE COPIERS Ltd were honoured to receive the Queens award for Enterprise (International Trade) in 2020. Founded in 2002, the company is based in Penrith, Cumbria, on the edge of the beautiful Lake District. Despite the economic challenges we all shared in 2020, the company has enjoyed another year of successful expor ts all over the world. The Expor t Sales teams had to deploy all their industry knowledge and resilience to successfully negotiate the opening and closing of regional markets and the sporadic availability of shipping. Due to some more traditional markets experiencing an economic downturn and subsequent reduction in demand, the company made the decision to explore other opportunities and develop new relationships, which helped to safeguard the commercial success of 2020. Stephen Armistead, Managing Director, now has plans to make fur ther investments to increase the 6,000 square metre warehouse space, by developing and expanding the busy dispatch centre. Located half a mile from head office, the re developed dispatch centre will have the capacity to process up to five hundred copiers per day and load multiple shipping containers at once. This advance in dispatch capability will reform the company’s ability to export more product beyond their current capacity, of a maximum of two containers per day.
