large, liveable cities with sustainable resources, and a shift towards a new, digitised world,” says John Bianchini, Hatch’s chairman and CEO. Expanding services In the UK, Hatch has broadened its focus to help solve the challenges facing its clients and communities. Hatch’s operations in the UK began more than 30 years ago, and for many years the company was focused on helping global clients in the natural resources sectors, many of whom are headquartered in the UK. More recently, through a number of integrations, the company has broadened its full service offering to include the metals, energy and infrastructure sectors, working on projects ranging from community master plans to offshore oil and gas projects and beyond, in addition to the traditional metals and mining project development. “We’re thrilled to have won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade,” says Julian Clark, Hatch’s regional director for Europe. “Though we’ve been in the UK for many years, for much of that time our efforts were on helping our global clients internationally, so we remained a little-known gem in the UK’s engineering and advisory world. “More recently, we’ve been focused on creating positive change within the UK, ultimately supporting clients such as BEIS and the Scottish Government in addition to many of the Local

Authorities across the land.” Hatch’s UK team boasts industry-leading experts whose knowledge and capabilities are sought both within the UK and abroad. They’re supported by Hatch’s network of 9,000 professionals across the globe. Julian adds: “We pride ourselves in being a flat organisation that remains employee-owned. That combination results in a very entrepreneurial culture, where everyone is given the freedom to pursue solutions that are in the best interest of our clients. It’s howwe remain current and innovative – and howwe believe we’ll ultimately change the world by challenging the status quo.” HATCH 4th Floor, 20 St Andrew Street, London EC4A 3AG Tel: +44 (0)207 906 5100 • europe@hatch.com www.hatch.com @HATCHglobal hatch
