Irvine City Council Ethical Public Service Ordinance No. 08-03 (Measure H)
At the June 3, 2008, Special Municipal Election, Irvine voters passed Measure H, (Initiative Ordinance No. 08-03). Measure H extends existing provisions in Section 1-6- 104.A of Ordinance 06-01 to commissioners appointed by the Mayor and Councilmembers (lobbying activities); and extends provisions in Section 1-6-104.B to Executive Assistants of the City Council and commissioners appointed by the Mayor and Councilmembers. Ordinance No. 08-03 was amended by the City Council on October 8, 2024. The City Council, by a 4/5 vote, may amend Initiative Ordinance No. 08-03 only to the extent such amendments further or expand the objectives of the ordinance. All other amendments or proposed repeal must be approved by the voters. A copy of Ordinance Nos. 08-03 and 24-16 can be found in Appendix J.
