CHAPTER 11 Registrar of Voters Services and Information

Registered Voter Files Candidates who have filed Nomination Papers with the City Clerk are eligible to purchase copies of the Voters’ Indices, or registered voter files, for his/her own use or the use of his/her committee for election purposes only. Indices can be obtained for a fee directly from the Orange County Registrar of Voters (ROV), at 1300 South Grand Avenue, Building C, Santa Ana, CA, 714-567-7600. Precinct Maps A set of precinct maps can be viewed at the Registrar of Voters’ Office. If you wish to purchase maps of the City in which you are a candidate, you may do so by accessing the Registrar of Voters Map Ordering Tool. You can also contact the Map Unit at 714-567-7586 for further assistance. Register to Vote – Last Day The last day for a non-registered, eligible person to register to vote is 15 days prior to an election. To be eligible to vote in the April 15, 2025 Special Municipal Election, an eligible person must register by March 31, 2025. During the 14 days prior to Election Day and including Election Day, an individual can go to the Registrar of Voters office or any Vote Center in Orange County to conditionally register to vote. However, only voters that are registered 29 days prior to an election will be mailed a Sample Ballot, Vote-by-mail Ballot, and Voter Information Guide by the Registrar of Voters; and a California State Voter Guide by the Secretary of State. In Orange County, you may request the option of receiving your Sample Ballot Pamphlet and your California Voter Guide in one of the required languages. These mailings begin approximately 40 days prior to an election and continue over a three-week period.
