Active Aging Week October 5-11
Active Aging Week is organized by International Council on Active Aging (ICAA), the association leading the active aging industry since 2001. Active aging promotes the concept that everyone, regardless of age, health status, or socio-economic background, should have the opportunity to participate fully in life. This encompasses seven wellness dimensions: emotional, environmental, cognitive/ intellectual, physical, vocational/professional, social, and spiritual. This year, Park Place of Elmhurst has committed to hosting Active Aging week with a series of engaging programs for everyone to get involved and enjoy. Symbria will feature a variety of activities designed to encourage participation and celebrate active aging, including specialized group exercise classes, an educational presentation, fitness challenges, and prize giveaway.
