Philanthropic Efforts – Cabela’s Outdoor Fund Season’s Greetings from Cabela’s and the Cabela’s Outdoor Fund. It was such a simple yet powerful idea, and it’s one that’s working hard for all outdoor enthusiasts. Over the years, our friendly cashiers have asked millions of Cabela’s customers if they would like to “round up” their purchase and donate to the Cabela’s Outdoor Fund. Thanks to your ongoing generosity and your desire to promote and protect the future of hunting, fishing, camping, recreational shooting and other outdoor interests, you have donated over $13,000,000. That’s a big number – proof that a little pocket change and a lot of goodwill does add up to something. And what does it add up to? This financial support helps us advocate for the protection of the outdoor lifestyle, including your right to bear arms. It goes into programs that seek to teach and pass off our passion to the next generation of hunters, anglers, campers and shooters. It helps us improve habitat with sound conservation methods, which makes sure wildlife can thrive and multiply. Your support even helps us provide memorable outdoor experiences to the sick, disabled and the underprivileged. The Cabela’s Outdoor Fund is there to promote big programs, like the National Wild Turkey Federation’s 10-year initiative to conserve and enhance up to 4,000,000 acres of critical upland habitat, to recruit 1,500,000 hunters and to open up hunting access to 500,000 acres of hunting land. It is also there to impart grants to smaller

programs seeking to recruit, retain and educate new hunters and anglers. These grants have already created and supported all kinds of hands-on training opportunities, local mentor programs and community-level events that give the next generation a taste for the outdoors. Passing that torch along is important to us, and you’re helping us do just that.
