For many of us navigating the arts is new territory that people around us are not familiar with. We lack access to role models and mentors who can guide us. Without people you can trust, it’s an intimidating environment to be in. As long as the arts in Wales are white and middle-class dominated, people outside of those backgrounds will have to work harder to get a foot in the door. We need people to help with our creative and professional development.
