interview on 24 January. The preparation paid off, the group gave a strong performance and came across as a highly knowledgeable cohesive team despite being thousands of miles apart. A few weeks later we received the good news that we were appointed to the Panel. This is a significant win for us; prior to this tender process Canopius were using around 80 firms, only seven of which were appointed to the Core Strategic Panel. We understand that the majority of Canopius claims work will be directed to panel firms so hope to see a considerable increase in work over the next financial year. APAC is expecting to see growth and last month we were allocated all of the Canopius marine work relating to the crisis in Ukraine. The other six firms on the panel are: CMS, DACB, DWF, Kennedy’s, Lewis Brisbois and Wilson Elser. Panel kick-off meetings are now underway. If you would like to find out more about our relationship with Canopius please speak to Mark Sutton or Faye Sully.

service to their insureds.

AkzoNobel panel appointment - We are very pleased to announce that we have been newly appointed to the AkzoNobel UK & Ireland panel for domestic work. This appointment is the product of many years hard work building a close relationship with AkzoNobel in the UK and we expect to see a healthy increase in fees as one of only two firms appointed. The two year appointment is valued at an estimated €600k per year and covers day-to-day work valued below €100k (large scale litigation, M&A, employment and property work excluded). This arrangement is on top of our existing legacy portfolio which has recently billed an average of £700k per year as well as a number of high-profile disputes we are handling from the UK.
