Dr. and Mrs. Charles Roberts M ANY friends, perhaps, are not quite clear as to our present “ set up.” Sponsored by Biola, our program is threefold: EMMANUEL MEDICAL MISSION— A Clinic in the heart of the city. Luke 9:6 We are rejoicing in the return of Dr. E. Stuart Harverson to join us and re open the Medical Mission long connected with the Church. Dr. Harverson for merly was a medical missionary in China and for the past year has been residing in New Zealand. With his return to HongKong, a new phase of work is being opened up, a mobile medical unit to visit the many villages that have sprung up over the countryside. “ Squatters” is the none too elegant name given to those new communities. And many of these folk are Christians who have fled their homeland and are now reduced in cir cumstances, and must eke out a living well nigh to beggary. A Chinese brother in our congregation has seen the need and is arranging for a vehicle to be used in reaching these folk for whom nothing is available in the way of medical help. A Gospel team will be going along too! We ask your support for this new ven ture which is wholly of faith. EMMANUEL CHURCH—A Church in the house. Rom. 16:5 We have no church building but we meet in an improvised chapel next door to the little Book Shop. We come from all walks of life and are of various races. Many have escaped from behind the Bamboo curtain that drops just 24 miles away. In the past year we have
