First affordable carbon negative homes In partnership with British Gas, St. Modwen Homes have launched the first affordable carbon negative homes. The homes are capable of reducing homeowners’ energy bills by 79% and delivering a 125% reduction in CO2 emissions. British Gas will install the trial homes with the latest Hive Smart Home technology, to aid the energy efficiency of these properties. To find out more click HERE
Industry bodies to draw up standard for verifying net zero buildings A standard for verifying buildings as net zero carbon is currently being developed by a group of industry bodies including RIBA and the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC).
March construction output reaches record heights with 1.7% increase
According to the Office of National Statistics, March was the fifth consecutive monthly growth and a record high. As well as the monthly increase, construction output rose 3.8% in Quarter 1 2022. Outside of the coronavirus pandemic period, this is the strongest Quarterly growth since Quarter 1 2107 (3.9%). To read more click HERE
