WELCOME LETTER From Tami
S tepping into the role of CEO is an incredible honor and the culmination of a growth journey that began 17 years ago. I started as Director of Human Resources and later served as Chief Operating Officer, roles that allowed me to help shape our culture, grow our programs, and expand access to integrated care within our community. Through it all, I’ve witnessed the life- changing impact of our work up close. I’m continually inspired by the courage of the individuals we serve and am so grateful for the strength and dedication of our team. At CenterPointe, we meet people in some of their hardest moments and walk with them toward stability, healing, and hope.
Together, we’ve built a foundation rooted in compassion, innovation, and whole person care. As we look to the future, I’m committed to building on that impact and ensuring our services remain accessible, responsive, leading edge, and ready to meet people where they are. I’m excited to connect with new partners, strengthen long-standing relationships, and continue sharing CenterPointe’s mission. If you’d like to learn more, I’d love to hear from you.

This spring, he was nationally recognized with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, honoring his visionary leadership, advocacy, and decades of impact in the behavioral health field. We are deeply grateful for Topher’s legacy and the foundation he built for CenterPointe’s future. service, Topher Hansen has retired from his role as President and CEO of CenterPointe. We are pleased to share that Tami Lewis-Ahrendt has stepped into the role of CEO as of July 1. Tami has been with CenterPointe since 2008 and previously served as Chief Operating Officer. INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT THERAPY (IOP) In January 2024, CenterPointe launched an Intensive Outpatient Program at our Campus for Health and WellBeing in Lincoln. This ongoing program supports individuals working through addiction with personalized, evidence-based care, and we are actively enrolling new participants. IOP includes group and individual therapy, substance use education, DBT skills training, and relapse prevention. SUPPORT & THERAPY GROUPS CenterPointe offers a wide range of support and therapeutic groups designed to meet people where they are in their recovery journey. Groups include SMART Recovery, peer support, groups for friends and family, and more—each providing connection, compassion, and evidence-based guidance. CO-RESPONDER PROGRAM In March, CenterPointe officially launched a new Co-Responder Program in partnership with the Lincoln Police Department. This innovative approach pairs licensed behavioral health professionals with law enforcement to respond directly to mental health crisis calls in the community. Co-responders provide on-the-spot support, help de- escalate situations, and connect individuals to ongoing care and resources. We’re proud to share that three co- responders are now active in the field, ensuring people in crisis receive the right care at the right time. CAMPUS FOR HOPE (OMAHA) This summer, Campus for Hope increased its capacity from 48 to 56 individuals at a time thanks to additional staffing. This means more people can move off the waitlist and into life-changing care. Campus for Hope now offers same-day mental health and substance use assessments, making it easier for individuals to take the first step toward care.
BACK-TO-SCHOOL PHYSICALS CenterPointe’s primary care team is here to help students start the school year healthy and ready to learn. A NEW CHAPTER for Michael
ONE YEAR OF NEW BEGINNINGS WITH SQUAREONE
Last summer, Michael entered one of CenterPointe’s residential programs with a strong determination to turn his life around for himself, his wife, and their eight children. With compassion and consistent support, our team walked alongside Michael every step of the way. He engaged in individual and family therapy, worked closely with a case manager, and collaborated with DHHS to rebuild trust and stability, even when the path was difficult. Michael successfully completed residential treatment, secured a housing voucher, and is now stably housed and joyfully reunited with his family. Today, he continues building on his progress through CenterPointe’s Outpatient services. He remains focused, hopeful, and surrounded by support.
In July 2024, CenterPointe launched SquareOne, offering immediate crisis support for youth and their families. Now, one year in, SquareOne has become a trusted place where children and caregivers can take a breath, reset, and move forward—together. Since its launch, SquareOne has served 234 unique individuals, offering immediate support, connection, and hope during moments of crisis. At SquareOne, a crisis isn’t the end of the story. It’s a chance to begin again—with support, empathy, and no judgment. The program provides: • 24/7 walk-in and mobile crisis response • Crisis therapy • Post-crisis ongoing support Currently located at our Campus for Health and WellBeing, SquareOne will move to its own dedicated space by the end of the year—expanding its reach and impact in the community. “Everyone treated our family with dignity and respect, which encouraged us to keep seeking help. The staff went out of their way to provide services, build a strong relationship with our child, and offer meaningful skills that supported our journey forward.” -Family in SquareOne Services
