Day 1 Travel to the hotel near Cheltenham. Day 2 Today begins at Painswick Rococo Garden which was designed in the 1740s as a fanciful pleasure garden for the owner of Painswick House and his guests. Visitors will be delighted by the magical follies and spectacular views of the Cotswold countryside. This afternoon is to Gloucester for admission to the National Waterways Museum, followed by time at leisure to explore the famous Docks. The restored warehouses make this a remarkably complete example of a Victorian port. Day 3 A long but worthwhile day with a scenic drive through the Somerset Levels, Mendip Hills and Cheddar Gorge to the lovely medieval city of Wells. See the magnicent Cathedral and unique
Bishop’s Palace Moat and Gardens. Continue to Bristol, where the harbour side and shopping areas oer visitors a variety of attractions and retail experiences. We have included admission to Brunel’s SS Great Britain, once the longest passenger ship in the world. Day 4 Start the day at Westonbirt Arboretum, home to one of the most spectacular tree collections in the world, which now features a treetop walkway, accessible to all. This afternoon is time at leisure in the beautiful Georgian City of Bath. We recommend visits to the famous Royal Crescent, the Jane Austen Centre and the Roman Baths before exploring the various lanes of specialist shops. Day 5 Homeward journey.

Other family homes, such as Anne Hathaway’s Cottage can be included at an additional cost. There is time at leisure to explore the town before taking a leisurely cruise down the River Avon. Day 3 Today’s excursion explores the pretty Cotswold villages that make this area so special. Visit Stow-on-the-Wold with its medieval buildings, art galleries and eateries. The charming towns in this area are built with
honey-coloured Cotswold stone and set amid gentle rolling countryside. Continue to the spa town of Cheltenham, renowned for its designer boutiques, pretty gardens and historic promenade. Day 4 Begin the day with a visit to Blenheim Palace, a superb example of a Baroque residence situated in over 2000 acres of beautiful parkland landscaped by Capability Brown. This afternoon head to the ‘dreaming spires’ of Oxford where the afternoon is free to explore the at and compact centre of this cathedral city. Oxford is home to over 1500 listed buildings and is regularly used as a location for lm crews from all over the world Day 5 Homeward journey.
