Day 1 Travel north for an overnight in the Lockerbie area. Day 2 Continue north to the Highlands with stops in Aviemore or Inverness before proceeding to the hotel. Day 3 An early start today for the scenic journey to the remote Georgian town of Thurso. Following time at leisure, enjoy today’s rail journey on the Far North Line, the northern most railway in the United Kingdom. Experience the wilderness of the moors before the dramatic scenery as you travel along the eastern coastline, which at times runs almost on the shore. Day 4 The highlight for most will be today’s journey on one of the world’s nest coast-to-coast railway journeys to the Kyle of Lochalsh, overlooking

the Isle of Skye. This spectacular train ride is undoubtedly one of the most scenic rail journeys in the United Kingdom. Rejoin the coach for an equally impressive return via Loch Ness. Day 5 To Aviemore and Rothiemurchus Estate this morning. We will be joined by a ranger to accompany us on a coach safari to get the best views of the surrounding countryside and the chance to meet the resident deer and Highland Cows. Afterwards, enjoy a nostalgic ride on the Strathspey Railway to Broomhill. Day 6 Journeying south, break the journey at Loch Tummel and the panoramic ‘Queens View’ before spending time in Pitlochry. Onwards then to your overnight hotel in the Lockerbie area. Day 7 Homeward journey.

Depart for time at Brodie Countryfare and the lovely traditional town of Forres, winner several times of ‘Scotland in Bloom’. Travel along the coast road, passing the traditional shing villages of Burghead, to Lossiemouth with its two wonderful sandy beaches, before a scenic return to the hotel. Day 6 Depart for overnight stop in the Lockerbie area. Day 7 Homeward journey.

Take time at leisure in historic Fort William, before arriving at your base, Beauly. Day 3 Today, venture north along the east coast to Golspie and a visit to fairytale Dunrobin Castle. Enjoy the magnicent gardens and views across the sea before heading to the lovely historic town of Dornoch with its independent shops and cafes. On your return, you might travel back around the lovely peninsula of Black Isle, part of the North Coast 500, though it is anything but black! Day 4 A full day to the city of Inverness. Savour a cruise on the Moray Firth with its abundance of wildlife. Explore the historic city with its Botanic
