Day 1 Travel to Dundee, your base for 4 nights. Day 2 Journey along the glittering coastline with a guide highlighting the fascinating heritage of the East Neuk of Fife. Take time in St. Andrews, before heading further along the coast to Anstruther, the largest shing village in Fife’s East Neuk, renowned for its historic harbour and award-winning sh & chips. From here, head for the lovingly restored Teasses Estate. Enjoy a guided tour of the formal gardens, the Walled Garden and Greenhouses. Day 3 The vibrant city of Dundee, with its waterfront development, is our base this morning, visiting Captain Scott’s ship, the RRS Discovery. Explore the ship and relive the hardships and triumphs of the

remarkable expedition to the Antarctic. Following time at leisure, on then to Glamis Castle for a visit, with guided tour (STA), to the splendid childhood home of Her Majesty the Queen Mother. Day 4 Today, see more of lovely Angus. First stop is the traditional seaside town of Arbroath, home to the famous ‘Arbroath Smokie’. Head onto Stonehaven, with time to explore the sandy seafront and picture perfect harbour. Onwards to Montrose, visiting the House of Dun, an elegant Georgian country house where costumed guides lead you through its fascinating history, before returning to Dundee. Day 5 Homeward journey.

Day 1 Travel to your hotel in Aberdeen with a stop in Dundee or St. Andrews en-route if time allows. Day 2 Venture north today. Step back in time at Peterhead Prison Museum, ‘Scotland’s Toughest Jail’. Located within a six acre site, the museum highlights what prison life was like between 1888 and 2013 when the prison nally closed. On then to Pitmedden Garden. Learn how the garden was transformed during the World Wars into a kitchen garden supplying the area with fresh produce. The Garden now combines its 17th-century origins and recent agricultural past into the Museum of Farming Life. Day 3 A morning tour of Aberdeen centre by coach and on foot followed by time to explore at

your own pace. There’s plenty to discover from fascinating museums and galleries, to the historic merchant quarter, or relax in one of the many parks and award winning gardens. Day 4 With a backdrop of lush rolling hills, Crathes Castle and Gardens is this morning’s destination. Discover the history of the turrets, towers, oak panels and painted ceilings of this magnicent Disney-esque designed 16th century tower house and its lovely gardens. Time at leisure in the Victorian resort village of Ballater. On then to Banchory and a short, but delightful journey on the scenic Royal Deeside Railway running along the River Dee. Day 5 Homeward bound.
