Lake Garda, Verona and the Dolomites Lake Garda oers a contrasting landscape, from rolling hills and vineyards in the south, to steep mountains and olive groves in the north. As in all of Italy, the local cuisine and wine are splendid. To the north of the lake are the Dolomites and the comparatively undiscovered area of the Brenta Nature Park with many quiet artists towns and an unspoilt landscape peppered with small lakes. To the south east of the lake are Venice and Verona, cities of World repute.

Day 1 Short Channel crossing to Calais and then south through the Ardennes and Luxembourg. On then for dinner and an overnight stay in the Metz area. Day 2 We suggest a route through Bavaria, into Austria and around Innsbruck before traversing the Brenner Pass to arrive in Italy. On to Lake Garda in time for dinner. Day 3 A full day to relax, enjoy the hotel facilities. Stroll to the town and explore the harbour and historic centre, and enjoy a drink in one of the many pavement cafes. A circular cruise on the lake is highly recommended to fully appreciate the beauty of the area.
