Day 1 Channel crossing. Overnight in the Metz area. Day 2 Travel south into Switzerland then onto northern Italy for the overnight stay. Day 3 Continue past Milan and Alessandria to Arenzano for a 5 night stay. Day 4 A day at leisure to explore Arenzano. With parks, a Basilica and port area, there is much to discover, or spend the day enjoying the hotel’s pool and terrace. Day 5 A full day to the lovely gardens at Villa Durazzo Pallavicini which blends Italian and English landscaping. Continue on to visit the Ligurian capitol, Genoa. Here, there are palaces, the cathedral and museums to discover. Day 6 A day into the Piedmont countryside. Travel
through the many vineyards which produce some of the best wines in Italy. Visit the hilltop villages of Aqui Terme and Nizza Monferrato, and the bustling town of Canelli. A wine tasting is included during this day. Day 7 Travel to the pretty shing village of Portono. This stylish resort is known for its colourful buildings, nestled around its small harbour and hills of olive groves. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at one of the many pavement cafes. Day 8 Depart Arenzano and travel north to overnight in the Italian lakes area. Day 9 Continue northwards to the Metz area for dinner and an overnight stay.
