Day 5 Full day exploring the region, beginning in the historic city of St Gallen with its stylish old town dominated by the Abbey of St Gall. Cross the border into Germany and on to the charming city of Constance. Explore the historic Niederburg area which is home to the main sights in the old town Day 6 Take the short journey to Zurich and discover the squares and alleyways of its mediaeval centre. A guided walking tour is included to enhance the visit. Travel down the length of Zurichsee and take the bridge across to Rapperswil, with time at leisure in this attractive lakeshore town. Day 7 Leave Switzerland and stop for an overnight stay in the Metz area. Day 8 Short Channel crossing to Dover and home.
