Day 1 Channel crossing to Calais. Travel to Amboise for a 4 night stay. Day 2 Morning visit to the magnicent Château de Chenonceau, one of the most photographed in the area. Time to wander the beautiful formal gardens, explore the interior and visit the Flower Garden. Make a stop in Montrichard before arriving into Blois, the capital of the region. Free time here to visit the Royal Palace or to enjoy the House of Magic with its 6 headed dragon automaton. Day 3 Journey through the countryside and past the imposing Chateau of Villandry, world renowned for its gardens. A visit here is highly recommended.

Continue onto Tours. Situated between the Cher and Loire Rivers, explore this historic city with its half-timbered wooden houses and street cafés. Day 4 Time in Amboise to explore this lovely town and to make the included visit to the Chateau du Clos Luce, where Leonardo da Vinci spent his last years. Take time to discover the parkland and gardens surrounding the house. This afternoon enjoy a visit to a local vineyard for a tour and tasting. Day 5 Travel northwards to Calais for the return Channel crossing home.
