Day 1 Channel crossing to Calais. Continue along the coast, past Dunkerque and Veurne, before travelling on to Mouscron for a 3 night stay. Day 2 A full day to the Somme. Continue for an included visit to the fascinating Wellington Quarry, where in a feat of incredible engineering, soldiers tunnelled to the front line. Return to Mouscron via the impressive Vimy Ridge. In Flanders Fields Museum. In the afternoon visit Tyne Cot Cemetery. Late afternoon, return to Ypres and enjoy a dinner at leisure at one of the many restaurants lining the Grote Markt, before taking the short walk to the Menin Gate for the 8pm Last Post Ceremony. Return after to Mouscron. Day 4 Visit Poperinge, which at one time was one of only two towns in Belgium not under German occupation. See Talbot House and the Town Hall. Finally, travel for the short Channel crossing to Dover and home.
