Day 1 Board the Brittany Ferries cruise ferry service to Santander. Relax and enjoy a night on board ship. Day 2 Arrive in Santander and travel to France for dinner and an overnight stay in the Lourdes area. Day 3 Ascend into the Pyrenees for a 5 night stay. Day 4 A day at leisure in resort to explore the village. Day 5 A guide is included today for an excursion through the mountainous countryside around Soldeu. In the afternoon continue wth the guide to visit the capital, Andorra la Vella. Day 6 A full day guided excursion into Spain to Ribes de Freser. Here take the rack railway high into the mountains through the wonderful Vall de Núria. There will be time for refreshments before the
return journey by train and coach. Day 7 Take the short drive to Meritxell and visit the impressive Our Lady of Meritxell Basilica Sanctuary. Situated in beautiful natural surroundings in a sheltered valley, this is the most important religious site in Andorra. Continue across the border to the Spanish town of La Seu d’Urgell for an afternoon visit. Day 8 Leave Soldeu and travel back into Spain for dinner and an overnight stay in the Bilbao area. Day 9 Some time in Bilbao, before travelling to Santander to meet the afternoon cruise ferry to England. Day 10 Arrive back on the south coast and travel home.

Day 1 Board the Brittany Ferries cruise ferry service to Santander. Relax and enjoy a night on board ship Day 2 Arrive in Santander and make the short drive to Isla. Check in and enjoy the rest of the day relaxing. Day 3 A day at leisure to relax, spend time on the beach, in the village or enjoying the hotel’s facilities. Day 4 Travel to Santillana del Mar, a fascinating village on the World Heritage List, best described as a living museum. Stroll the cobbled streets and visit the many artisan shops o ering local arts and crafts. In the afternoon stop in Comillas, the ‘City
of Archbishops’ with its grand architecture and historic centre, before returning to Isla. Day 5 Full day to the impressive Picos De Europa mountain range. Stop in San Vicente before joining the River Deva Valley, passing through a canyon, and on to Potes, a lovely market town set high in the mountains. Those who wish can continue to Fuente Dé, and enjoy a cable car trip in to the peaks for fantastic views across the mountain range (pre-booking is recommended). Day 6 To Santander with time to explore before boarding the afternoon sailing to the UK. Day 7 Arrive back on the south coast and travel home.
A 10 day tour is also possible with a Wednesday or Sunday departure. A guide for the Picos De Europa day is highly recommended.
