Oxfordshire County Council
National Express
Oxfordshire County Council partnered with LCMB to help create a decarbonisation strategy for the local authority’s buildings estate and helped support public sector decarbonisation grant applications. • Analysis and review of each estate building and the existing heating and building system. • Implementation of optimised and efficient heating system using heat pumps and infrared heating and eradication of fossil fuel usage in OCC buildings. • Recommendations for electrical efficiency improvements using renewable generation technology. These alternative sustainable recommendations provided Oxfordshire County Council with a plan that was in line with their ambitious net zero 2030 target. “One of the key aspects that has really come out the work that LCMB have done is looking at the different buildings and implementing the heat decarbonisation plans. Having a detailed understanding for each individual building has helped us understand what the estate wide picture looks like.”
