The Diamond Lazy J Ranch would like to welcome you to our annual bull sale on January 22, 2026. What a year! Record breaking cattle prices! If we look back to the first of May, it looked like we were headed into a major drought, but instead we had a great grass year. We truly have been blessed. We were a part of the Nebraska Angus Tour in September and were able to host the evening stop at Niobrara Valley Vineyards. This allowed us to visit with cattlemen and women from across Nebraska and neighboring states. I was a student at UNL in 1981 and a member of the Block and Bridle Club. We traveled to France, and we saw a lot of great cattle. After each stop, we went to the house and enjoyed a great glass of wine and continued to visit about cattle. Cattle and wine do go together, but at that time I didn’t believe I would personally be a part of it. I always dreamed of having a ranch and that dream began in 1987 when my brothers and I bought a small ranch. In 1992, we were able to lease a herd of Angus and Gelbvieh cattle. That was our start in the purebred cattle business. In 2002, we planted our first grapes and opened our tasting room in 2014. Family is what made everything work. We fast forward to today and family is still what makes everything work. Brent and Justin were able to capitalize on our start. They teamed up with Tyler McNitt and have continued to build the herd to what it is today. The emphasis is still on balanced trait cattle that function in the Sandhills and surrounding area. The cattle need to be able to perform with the available re- sources. That’s our goal. Raising great cattle and great families. THAT’S RANCHING AT IT’S FINEST! See you on the seats at Valentine Livestock Auction on January 22, 2026! The Nollette’s
