Where to Eat with Toddlers Near Oklahoma City Exploring Oklahoma with Children Three Kid-Friendly Restaurants Parents Will Love Too BY ASHLEY GLASS . PHOTOS PROVIDED.

A s a mom of two and a member of several local parenting groups, I see the same question pop up almost every week: Where can we take the kids that we’ll actually enjoy too? Parents aren’t just looking for kid-friendly restaurants anymore. They’re looking for places where kids can stay entertained, burn off energy and have fun while the adults enjoy a good meal, a drink or simply a chance to finish a conversation. After plenty of family outings (and toddler negotiations), I’ve done the research for you. Here are three Oklahoma destinations where everyone in the family leaves happy. Pryor’s Pizza Kitchen: One of the Best Kid-Friendly Restaurants Near Norman Located just south of Norman in Goldsby, Pryor’s Pizza Kitchen has become one of our favorite family-friendly restaurants in the area. The pizza is fantastic, but what truly makes Pryor’s stand out for families is its expansive outdoor play area. Instead of spending dinner trying to keep restless kids entertained at the table, parents can settle into the patio while little ones burn off energy just steps away. Our toddler, Brady, always makes a beeline for the playground

before we even order. Between the large tunnel structure, swings and wide-open turf area, there is plenty of space for kids to play while parents actually get to enjoy dinner. One of my favorite features is that several tables sit directly inside the play area, making it easy to keep an eye on the kids without constantly getting up and down. The atmosphere feels especially fun during Thunder games, which are often shown on the large outdoor screen. On our most recent visit, we started with the Pork Belly & Pickles appetizer, featuring sweet-and-spicy glazed pork belly paired with house-made pickles, followed by the Cheesy Bread loaded with melted cheese, garlic butter and parsley. For pizzas, we sampled three completely different options. The Pryor’s Pizza is packed with salami, bacon, pepperoni, sausage, roasted garlic and pecorino for meat lovers. The Scotty P combines pork belly, pepperoni, pickles, hot sauce and pesto ranch in a surprisingly delicious combination. Meanwhile, the Margherita offers a lighter option with fresh mozzarella, basil, tomatoes and olive oil. Mom and dad also appreciated Pryor’s full-service bar. With both indoor and outdoor bar service available, it feels elevated enough for a night out while still remaining incredibly family friendly. Standout cocktails included their take on a French 75 and the longtime favorite Club Special. Before you leave, you must save room for dessert. The Bread Pudding Churros, fried until golden, rolled in cinnamon sugar and served with caramel sauce, was easily one of the best desserts we’ve had in a long time.
