Application
Submission period: Jan. 1-May 1
Proof of City of St. Peters residency. Military verification (DD214 – Veteran, Military ID – Active Duty). 4-inch x 6-inch or larger, high-resolution quality photo in .jpeg format of serviceperson in uniform, or a current high-quality photo. Photo must have a minimum dpi of 300 for a 4x6 photo, while smaller photos should be scanned at 600-1200 dpi or greater. The photo may be edited by the City of St. Peters to show more detail of the face and shoulders of the honoree. The photo must show the honoree only with no
other person in the photo. $150 online payment to the City of St. Peters.
Requirements
Banners
To qualify, the veteran must be a current or past resident of St. Peters or an immediate family member of a current St. Peters resident, must either be on active duty or have received a discharge under honorable conditions from one or more branches of the United States Armed Forces. Applications must be submitted online at www.stpetersmo.net/hometownheroes.
Double-sided, 24" x 48" banners will be displayed throughout the City Centre Campus and adjacent Mexico Road. Banners are installed by Memorial Day and removed after Veterans Day. Locations are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. The annual fee is $150 per banner. Once banners are removed they will be available for pick up no later than January 1.
Applicants must submit complete and accurate forms, as any omissions or errors may affect acceptance of the application and/or priority in the registration queue. All applications will be reviewed and are pending Veterans Memorial Commission approval.
